Skyla Schoppmeyer is a Long Island, New York-based photographer with a passion for capturing authentic moments through dynamic and visually compelling imagery. With a Fine Art BFA in Photography from Purchase College’s Conservatory of Art and Design and over 11 years of experience in photography and videography, Skyla specializes in bringing stories to life across various media, receiving her first Camera at 5 years old, and has been in love with the art forms ever since . Her work blends a fine art approach with documentary-style storytelling, allowing her to create images that feel immersive and emotionally resonant.
Skyla’s first curated work, FIKA, explores the beauty of slowing down and appreciating the small moments that often go unnoticed. This project reflects her deep appreciation for storytelling through imagery and her ability to translate emotion into visual form. Whether photographing live events, sports action, or candid everyday moments, she strives to create work that not only captures movement but also the energy and essence behind it.
While based in Long Island, Skyla is always open to traveling for projects that inspire creativity and connection. She continues to push the boundaries of her work, seeking opportunities to collaborate, document, and create meaningful visual experiences.
